People are praising a single gay dad who has adopted an all kid from Cambodia and raising him up to turn into an Olympic champion.
Jerry Windle never expected he’d become a dad after individuals disclosed to him that he couldn’t as a gay man, yet this late spring, he’s had the privilege of watching his adopted child contend in the Tokyo Olympics, per TODAY.

He found that it was feasible to adopt a baby after reading an article in a magazine. The article opened up a chance for Jerry to adopt a baby from Cambodia, where there were no criteria that the kid requiring a mother.
According to TODAY Jerry said: “The story went on to talk about the close relationship between the father and his son, and something kind of clicked in my head … The article listed (the number of an adoption service) and so I called the number and I said ‘I just read an article, is it possible for a single person to adopt a child?’ and they said ‘Yes, it is.'”
A couple of months later, he planned the trip to Cambodia where he visited the orphanage to adopt a child, at that time Jordan, who was experiencing some serious health issues from malnutrition, and some infections.
The pleased dad said that it was love at first sight for him and clarified that he had no clue then whether his adopted child will survive or not.
But, he made a promise to the two-year-old that he will try his best that he never suffer again and he would also try his best to take care of him in the best possible way.
Jordan’s hard work and dedication put him at number 2 in the Olympic trials and procured himself a spot in Team USA’s diving group, yet unfortunately, Jerry couldn’t be there to applaud his child as a result of Covid limitations.
But, Jerry’s story is currently seeing him hailed as a legend as well, and he’s being praised across social media platforms.
