A clip of a maskless lady deliberately coughing on customers at a grocery store in Lincoln, Nebraska, is going viral on social media.
The video was posted on Reddit last week alongside the title, “Anti-Mask Karen Deliberately Coughing on me at South 27th Super Saver.” The video promptly went viral on other social media platforms like TikTok and Twitter.
Take a look at the video first:
The Reddit user by the name of Jessabird explained the incident that prompted her pull out her cellphone and start recording. She said she was at the store with her 13-year-old little girl when the maskless “Karen” moved toward them and confronted them for wearing covers, saying how “Nebraskans have transformed into sheep.”
Jessabird said the lady then, at that point continued to follow the mother and girl around the store and when she requested that she keep social distance, the lady began coughing on them deliberately.
When a staff member asked her why she is not wearing a mask she said: “Because I don’t need to have one on. I’m not sick and neither are you.”
When the video went viral by an activist @thatdaneshguy he promptly identified KAREN is working in an IT firm SAP. The organisation took the matter seriously and KAREN lost her job
Several people commented on the video online:
One said: Losing her job is the least of her worries she’s going to get charged for assault for that shit, she doesn’t know if she is infected or not and is acting in a way that indicates she intended to spread an infectious disease.
A second one added: I’m sorry people are too nice. If she had done that to me she would eat my fist and I’d let my Leo husband watch me do it!!!!
While a third one said: Sometimes I think many of these folks acting out like idiots are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Social media shaming only escalates people’s behaviors to their bottom. That is not necessarily a bad thing because it could lead to a change of life
