A mum of two kids have put out a strong warning to people thinking of opting for fillers after having $90 fillers injected to her lips causes them to swell to triple their size in the procedure gone horribly wrong. She insisted people to do property research before going for any such procedure done to their bodies.
She shared some result horrifying images of her ballooned lips after having her lips injected with fillers pre- Christmas. Louisa, 25, had small lips and wanted them filled to ‘boost her confidence’. She booked an appointment at a salon and opted for 1.1 ml fillers injected to her lips. For the treatment she coughed out $90.
However, her excitement quickly turned into horror when she saw what the procedure had done to her lips, they swelled up and we’re so painful that she almost fainted.
Talking about the experience, she explained that an hour after getting her lips done they swelled up and then later that evening they were absolutely massive, they were three times the size they should be.
She knew from the first time she had her lips done that swelling would go down in a day or two and be ok; it was the wonkiness that was bothering her. When they went down they didn’t feel any better because they were just wonky and uneven.
Louise continued that, that was upsetting looking in the mirror and seeing them like that. They looked like she had been punched in the face quite a few times, they were just horrible. She was left with a solid, massive lump a bit bigger than a jellybean on her top lip and another one but bigger on her bottom right lip. There was one the size of a 5p and the rest were about the size of a bb bullet; there were loads of them on the inside of her mouth.
She said, “The lumps are still sore now, and that I’ve been told to try and massage them to help slowly get rid of it. However, I’m still in pain because the lumps in my lips are so solid, big and really deep.”
Louise had gone for that cheap lip filler procedure after coming across a Facebook ad claiming to be from an experienced practitioner who was new to the area and was hence offering a cheaper deal for boosting her client base over there.
She said, “I was initially skeptical about the woman’s credentials, but was eventually convinced to get the filler after I was directed to the woman’s Instagram page.”
In that page that woman had shared before and after shots of clients she claimed she’d previously worked on. Louise said,” I eventually got a refund, but have been left self-conscious about my appearance.”
The mum fillers injected in her lips before, but said that experience put her off for a while. However, after having them corrected by a certified practitioner she now feels “so much more comfortable”.
