A woman decided to stop hiding their birthmarks even after getting hard comments

Individuals who are born with some unique feature or appear to be unique than normal people need to confront unforgiving remarks from others while growing up. Life for Amy Elsegood, a dental nurse and a model from North Yorkshire, faced the same situation.

She was brought into the world with a port-wine birthmark all over for which she was given Special make-up by the NHS. The specialists encouraged her to cover the mark as she approached her teens. From that point forward, she has changed her look.

However, a year ago, after she got her laser treatment for the evacuation of the mark, she was left with no option but to go to work without makeup up after laser treatment on her pigmentation. Incredibly, her colleagues likewise turned up bare-faced to show their support.

While discussing her scar and the amy said: “I felt like I was the only person in the world that looked like this. I would never leave the house without makeup. I wouldn’t want anyone to see me without makeup. If I did, I would get comments that are like, Oh, my God, what have you done? Have you been in a fight?”

She continued: “I posted a no makeup selfie that actually then went viral and it’s enabled me really to be where I am today, not be afraid to be who I am. Part of my birthmark that I think I used to dislike was just the fact that I looked so different to everybody else. People would mistake it for something, but bad had happened to me, and I used to get stared at quite a lot.”

This made Amy shaky of her looks. She got her first laser treatment at a very young age. She added: “For instance, I know that I started laser having as treatment on my face when I was about six months old for you in 10 months, there second never laser in my teens. I’d probably say that my confidence dropped because everyone starts wearing maker and couldn’t ever find any makeup that would work for me. People would say mean things to me, mainly that I was ugly.”

She further added: When people started to get boyfriends, I used to feel like no one’s ever going to want me. So that’s how my confidence was affected because I just never felt like I’d ever be good enough.”

She was amazed at how the world was changing, however. Subsequent to posting her no-cosmetics selfie. She got many help messages from individuals from one side of the planet to the other.

She says that it was the best kind of inspiration for her. She feels considerably more empowered presently, all thanks to the help she is getting.
