Eli had the option to then escape the burning house with little Erin in his arms, without a doubt saving her life. When firemen showed up on the scene, the house had become a fiery blaze.
On his interview to CNN Eli said: “I thought I couldn’t do it, but then I said, ‘I got her, dad’. I was scared, but I didn’t want my sister to die.”
Chris and Nicole, both previous firemen, have purportedly fostered 34 youngsters throughout the years, including Eli, and adoptedtwo others, Erin and Elijah.
Chris told: “We couldn’t be more proud of Eli, he did something a grown man wouldn’t do. We lost everything that we have ever had, Our entire lives were in that home. Our three cars were also damaged in the fire. It’s devastating. We have nothing. You have never been as humble as you are when you don’t even have your own underwear to wear.”
